I keep meaning to ask. Is the language spoken there Portuguese?

@crossingthethreshold It is the official language, yes. Everyone speaks it. There are a few local dialects (one for the big island - Forro, one for the smaller island - Lunguye) that I can’t speak, and a lot of people still talk/understand Cape Verdean Creole, that is easier to understand if you’re a Portuguese speaker.
