I find the Hide My Email feature on MacOS Safari very frustrating. I can set up a hidden email address manually with no problem, but I don’t think that I have ever seen it work in Safari? No pop up appears offering me to create a Hide My Email address.

@crossingthethreshold I have had times when the email field in Safari shows me my regular email addresses as options, but not Hide My Email. However, I haven’t had that problem for a while. I don’t know what changed, perhaps a macOS update.

To keep your personal email address private, do any of the following: In Safari: Open a website, click in an email field, then click Hide My Email to generate a new random email address or use one you’ve already created for the website.

I have never seen the Hide My Email that is referred to here. There is no pop up and no menu item in the menu that appears if I Control Click on the email field.

@crossingthethreshold Might be a silly question, but you do have iCloud Plus not just iCloud? "iCloud+ is the premium subscription that expands your iCloud service with features like… Hide My Email … " support.apple.com/en-nz/gui...

@Miraz That's not a stupid question. It's very easy for me to have all of my ducks in a row, only to find that one or two are missing 😆. But this time everything is in order and I do have iCloud+. I can set up Hide My Email manually, but never see it in Safari for the Mac.

@crossingthethreshold Have you checked your autocorrect settings? I think that may have something to do with it in MacOS.

@crossingthethreshold One more thought: do you have any Safari extensions etc active? If you disable them does that make a difference? I can (unhelpfully) say Hide My Email works reliably for me in Mac Safari.
