Waiting for a meet up.
Will be there and back again before the end of the month ā¦ but not yet booked. Whenever it turns out to be ā¦ time will be tight .. but will let you know hen I know just in case.
@JohnPhilpin We could have another meet up, with three people this time! @crossingthethreshold
@maique that would be fun ā¦ we are basically living the plan we had before Covid and other things hit ā¦ but back then it was going to be three months in Portugal .. earlier this year, we were thinking 3 weeks ā¦ I am currently trying to work out how to do everything in less than a week ā¦ which I know we wonāt ā¦ but we are so close ā¦ and certainly a three way meet up would be great ā¦ I never seem to get beyond one ā¦ no matter what I try.

@JohnPhilpin Until the end of the month. I am staying south of Lisbon. Will be in the city for at least one more visit at the end of the month, maybe another one or two? @maique
@crossingthethreshold I h south of Lisbon ā¦ as in ā just south is going to be out base
@JohnPhilpin What do you mean? Where we would meet?
@crossingthethreshold sorry ā¦ I meant I will find out exactly our base of operations and times ā¦ we might be just around the corner from each other.
@JohnPhilpin An hour and ten minutes according to Apple Maps. When are you there?
@crossingthethreshold hmm so where are you cos I thought you said 55 south of Lisbon and as gas as I can see .. so are we .. give or take ?
@JohnPhilpin I am in AlcƔcer do Sal, which is about 45 to 50 minutes drive south of Lisbon.
@JohnPhilpin What do you mean, ācomplicatedā?
From the map alone I canāt figure out what youāre trying to say, sorry š
@maique sorry .., for full context I was trying to work out how we are both about the same time āsouthā of Lisbon .. and yet still an hour apart ā¦ #KindOfAJoke
@JohnPhilpin Oh! Thatās an easy one, though. Highway all the way to AlcĆ”cer, a fast one. If youāre talking about Sesimbra, thereās only around 14km of that same highway, and then a quite busy road all the way there. You should see that road during the summer months, itās hell!
If youāre planning on going down to AlcĆ”cer from Sesimbra, and have time to do it, Iād drive to Setubal through the ArrĆ”bida mountain range, by the sea, get a ferry and cross over to TrĆ³ia, and then drive to AlcĆ”cer. Carrasqueira is worth a visit, Comporta as well.
