Tried SUP, fell down a couple of times. Not as easy as it looks from the outside.
@maique My step-son took me on a SUP “downwinder” many years ago. I had next to no SUP experience, and we were a long way out to sea, certainly way out of my comfort zone. We were out there for over an hour, I’d say, and I probably stood up for a minute or two. 🤣🤣 I was not in my comfort zone. Needless to say, I have not been out there since.
@crossingthethreshold 🤣🤣🤣 If you’re not comfortable, it’s way harder, I suppose. The sea here is very flat, and I did manage way better when we got a bit further from the beach. No tiny waves getting in the way, and not afraid to hit the bottom when I fell. Both times I came tumbling down were near the shoreline, when I started, and at the end.
