@crossingthethreshold Lovely. I do hope the bird was OK. I’ve done the same thing with birds which have flown into windows many times in my life, protecting and warming them in my hands. Often you feel them right themselves and tense in your hands as they recover and know that you can open your hands and let them fly free. Always feels a huge privilege.
@bsag Yes, you are right, it does always feel like a huge privilege. To be able to nest such a small, delicate creature in your hands. I also hope that it was OK, and flew away. I'll never know. I just wonder at the pain that it must have felt in colliding, probably at some speed, with our window....then I start thinking, "well if we hadn't built the house there in the first place!" 🤷
