Got my Leica dropped off. Really lucky to not have to ship it to get serviced.

I eventually want to get a digital M, but the idea of spending that kind of money on a camera that will be outdated in a few years is pretty unappealing. Plus I just flat don’t have that kind of money.

@collin i got a digital leica a few years ago (Q2) as a treat for an un unexpected investment paying off in a big way, and while i don't totally regret the decision i probably wouldn't do it today... there are just so many good cameras/lenses out there for cheaper and often with better features

@dame Absolutely. I won’t buy any of it new. I plan to buy one generation back and sell it when the next comes out. It’s an upfront investment, but since no Leica is ever going to lose all value, you’re essentially renting for a few years.

@dame even then, I’d only consider it because I already have the vintage lenses I got from my dad and I like the range finder experience. There is no way I could justify buying lenses that expensive otherwise.
