I’m still figuring out how “owning your own content” helps me to engage on other networks. The startingpoint of IndieWeb always seems to be me starting something. Which is not always the case. I respond, retweet, favorite, build upon. How does that work? #IndieQuestions

@frank That’s where webmentions, POSSE, and things like bridgy come into play to interact with other places, but I’m firmly of the opinion that not everything needs to be owned and conversations can happily exist elsewhere.

@colinwalker @frank I agree with Colin here. Most of my content originates on my blog but almost all comments to it comes from Micro.blog or possibly Twitter. If I want to respond to such comments I do it where the comment originates from, not directly from my blog. Also if I want to comment on somthing I read on m.b or Twitter, I mostly do it there and not on my blog.
