Can someone please explain to me why pachelbel’s canon is Christmas music
@dwalbert Dunno, but I'd rather listen to that than the dreck that was playing in the stores yesterday.
@dwalbert I poked around on the web and didn't find any instance in which the Pachelbel was being used as Christmas music. Lovely music though.
@Ron @cliffordbeshers It was in a seven hour plus playlist (at a craft market) with RUN DMC, Mannheim Steamroller, Paul McCartney and Michael Buble. They played “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas,” “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” and at least three versions of “It’s a Marshmallow World.” And Pachelbel. I dunno.
@dwalbert Our hardware store was playing a Sirius XM channel. I suspect they have mostly taken over from "Musak".
