First light in Pleasant Valley, above a bend in the Owens River. Waking at 5AM and not being able to get back to sleep isn’t fun when you have to get to work. But if you planned early morning errands anyway, roll out and see what’s happening.

@cliffordbeshers Your photos always make an impression. That place is so different, so alien to me, and evokes a lot of feelings. In the past I would sometimes drive through somewhere that might look similar, but being stuck in town for months now has made me look at them with different eyes. Please keep them coming. I might not always comment on them, most of the time it would be a simple “Love it” or a “Wow”, but I never fails to stop for a little while and wonder…
@maique Thank you. And I have no intention of stopping. The magic of a booming internet is that I now get to live in such a place and enjoy it constantly, rather than having to summon the time and energy to drive 6 hours to get here... Inevitably, one begins to take the view for granted, so I look for ways to keep myself alert, awed.
