Dawn of the apocalypse.

Smoke from the Creek Fire blanketed us for nearly two months. The extent of the smoke can be seen here roughly twenty miles to the east, but the fire is fifteen miles the other way. Nearly 600 square miles burned and it is not out yet.

@AlanGMarz Thank you. It was quite the view first thing in the morning. We've all been living in our houses like submarines, surfacing when the wind changes, but otherwise battening every hatch. I live in a valley that normally has wonderfully clear air, but now we're downhill from the fire and it has produced so much smoke that it just flows over us, fills the valley, and stays. Fortunately, we've had a week of winds pushing the smoke away, so we are all much more sane.
