I’ve heard people whine about Canto Bight, and this is a great thread on why it’s important. Not every part of a movie has to advance the plot! Some parts exist to advance and develop the *characters*.

@cleverdevil I thought it made a great statement in itself but adding that context makes it even better.
@colinwalker agreed! I do understand the complaint that the Canto Bight segment is too long, but cutting it out entirely would greatly diminish not only the movie, but also the future of Finn and Rose as characters.
@cleverdevil It almost feels to me as if it would have been better as its own heist movie Marvel-style.
