Finished reading: Reading Genesis by Marilynne Robinson 📚
@drewbelf I’m in the middle of enjoying her interview with Tyler Cowen right now. What stood out to you about the book? 
@christopherchelpka she tends to present Genesis as far more interested in humans than in God, & so her interpretations are very attentive to the human characters—warts & all—of the narrative. But when Genesis does turn to God, Robinson's reading makes it clear that Genesis's God is not the God of wrath & vengeance that you sometimes hear of, but rather a God of compassion and mercy.
