@maique rate the creative use of GH.
don’t understand the syntax convention for collaborators though?!

@maique @mpmilestogo I agree with this. Spent a month in Mérida; it’s neat but pretty busy. Also spent a month in Valladolid; it’s super chill (especially after the tourist buses to/from Chichen have left) and would move there tomorrow if my wife wasn’t so attached to seasons.
@maique very cool.
BTW, this makes me wonder if I could take .md export from a notetaking app (craft, obsidian, etc.) and throw it all it github pages and the markdown-style links between pages would work automatically….
@toddgrotenhuis Obsidian publish does this thjng exactly. You could do it with a post-processing step pretty easily, too, though, I expect.
@chriskrycho @toddgrotenhuis There’s a free tool called Quartz for turning obsidian vaults into dynamic hugo websites: github.com/jackyzha0…
@toddgrotenhuis other than the ideas below - i think david Merfield might like to think about making your obsidian vault a blot vault … i have already suggested that the ![[filename]] syntax used by obsidian could be adopted by blot. what more is needed?
@JohnPhilpin that’d probably get me to switch to Blot and Obsidian. I’d like to have my blog and digital garden to be managed in the same way, instead of as two separate things.
@maique Really enjoyed reading both of these, on São Tome e Príncipe and México 😊 We visited that part of Mexico in January 2020, but it sounds like you guys packed more in than we did! We went from Mérida to Tulum, seeing the archaeological sites in Chichen-Itzá and Uxmal on the way. Now I’m regretting that we didn’t stop off a couple of days in Valladolid, but we were running out of days to fit things in as it was 😂
@toddgrotenhuis i just copied a folder from iCloud obsidian to blot and it just worked. definitely issues around syntax variation so links get treated funny - and likewise embedded images - but the basics worked. just wrote to david to see if he is interested in exploring … maybe as a blot extension?
@Cheri oooooh that’s very interesting.
