I made it through an audition and will be joining the Orchestra Iowa Chorus this year. In the spring we’re doing Mozart’s Requiem. I bought the score and did a first listen/read through the other night… I’ve got some work to do! 😯I needed a challenge. This will be a good one.
@chrisheck Thanks! While I've sung a lot over the years, I haven't done a lot of choral singing, so this is a good learning opportunity for me.
@cjhubbs I love that you’ve found something you enjoy and allows you to use your gifts but also challenges you in a way that’s exciting. I’m inspired to find something like that for myself.
@chrisheck I've been a church musician most of my life. That went away a few years ago. I've struggled to fill that gap in my life. Not sure this 100% fills it but it gives me a way to try something different that should still be a lot of fun.
