So on Mac you can create several desktops and switch to them with a keystroke. I've been using them for years.

Today, I would like to add one.

I have no fucking clue how to do that, even after 10 minutes of searching. So:

- What are these desktops called? I thought Spaces, but it seems not.
- How can I add one?
- Where can I find the keyboard menu that allows me to set a keystroke for the new dekstop-thats-not-called-a-desktop? I'm sure there was one, but I can't find it.

OS 13.0

Thanks.

@ppk Three-finger swipe up on the trackpad, a toolbar appears with the desktops, and there's a + button on the right. I never use this so I'm not sure I'm talking about the right thing, sorry!

@ppk

  1. Open mission control, which is probably <kbd>F3</kbd> or a three finger swipe.
  2. Click the + at the top right

@ppk The majesty of hiding UI elements "to simplify things" strikes again.

@ppk I use F3, at least on the Logitech MX Keys keyboard. If that doesn't work, you should be able to set a keyboard shortcut via System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts.

A dark gray keyboard zoomed in on the F3 key, which has a yellow box around it. The image is slightly blurry.
