I added a faint grain to the background of my site, but I keep thinking it’s too subtle and just looks like your monitor is dirty.
@chrisd I think it works well. Not distracting, gives the page a little texture like I’m reading on a black piece of paper

I think it looks good overall! Looks like far away stars. Only suggestion is maybe a very slight drop shadow on text, because certain glyphs blend in a bit with the background.
