I don’t do much in the way of “features” when it comes to my bag designs but, what are your must-haves for a pool/beach bag? I’m inclined to just a wide open bag, no pockets no complexity. Curious what others look for.

@aa I was just at Sea Bags in both Maine and Mystic, CT. Most of their stuff veered toward simplicity. A few of their pieces had side pockets, but not many. Those bags account for at least 80% of their business.

@aa The Virginia ABC liquor store has these reusable bags that have, not pockets exactly, but interior fabric loops. They're ideal for porting liquor around, for sure. But I think maybe 2 or 3 of them might be right for the interior of a beach bag, too, to keep the water/soda/whatever bottles upright and orderly in transit.

@Ronguest yep, I agree. Two smaller pockets, one for each. On the outside of the bag for easier access, I think.
