I'm so glad @Hypothes_is is recording the sessions of #SLS22. So much valuable material about #annotations and pedagogy to absorb. This will need a few stream.boffosocko.com

@spgreenhalgh My case is one in which the full word fanatic ought to be used. ๐Ÿ˜ boffosocko.com/tag/hypot... What's your favorite feature?

@chrisaldrich Well, I approve of this fanaticism! Looking forward to reading more of your writing on it. Honestly, I don't use the software for anything fancyโ€”the basic features themselves make my teaching and grading so much better.

@spgreenhalgh Using Hypothes.is as one's commenting system is one of the most bleeding edge fancy things one could be doing. Now I'm sort of regretting my first "comment" on your site wasn't: "First!". ๐Ÿ˜„
Beyond their social annotation features, I've been using it primarily as a note taking/excerpting tool in the vein of the "forgotten" but related practices of commonplacing and zettelkasten (card indexes).
See, for example: - Creating a Commonplace Book by Colleen Kennedy - How to Take Smart Notes: One Simple Technique to Boost Writing, Learning and Thinking by Sonke Ahrens
On the side I'm working at putting these into a broader pedagogical practice.

@chrisaldrich Hahaha, "First!" would have been great! I haven't done much with personal use of Hypothes.is, so I'll be following your uses closely to see if I can borrow anything.
