I’m trying Safari for the rest of this week in place of Arc. I’m not revolting against them, I just feel as though our values are no longer aligned. They’ve shifted from trying to build a really great web browser (which they’ve already done, imo) to chasing AI venture dollars. I don’t blame them. I’m sure ... cdevroe.com

@cdevroe I can understand your feelings around Arc and the AI venture bucks. I feel like most of those features get in the way rather than help.

@ChrisJWilson I don’t mind the features so much as the focus shift. They seem to feel as though they need to be blown about by the dry winds of VC attention. They got nearly 1M on their Windows beta list alone. When was the last time you heard something like that? They could easily have made a sane business model.

@cdevroe I ended up switching back to Safari from Arc a few months ago, as I got more uncomfortable relying on Chrome. Safari adding profiles—and me forcing myself to figure out the way it does tab groups—was pretty helpful in migrating back.
