@jmreekes Loves to camp at home with the kids. That’s a nice yard tho.

@mcg Thanks. We’ve got 4 acres in a “neighborhood” in the country and love it. It’s a country neighborhood, only 7 lots all off a dirt road. We also have some chickens in our backyard.

@jmreekes You’ve inspired me! What kind of tent do you have and what are your thoughts?

@chet It’s this Field & Stream 8-person tent from Dick’s Sporting Goods. We’ve only used it one time but think it’s well made for the price. Our didn’t come with instructions so we had to use the picture on the bag to set it up, which was a little frustrating.

@chet We got this Coleman Highline 4 person for my son and I for his Cub Scout camping trip this weekend. The other tent would be overkill for the two of us. (Not sure if this one has instructions in this box yet)

@jmreekes I’ve been out of the camping game for a long time. Our limited gear was ruined in a flood five years ago. Thinking about doing backyard camping with the kiddos now that they’re old enough

@chet The zipper on the Coleman Highline 4 person tent is absolute crap. It has very fine plastic teeth and constantly didn’t work properly. It would either get stuck on a piece of fuzz or not fully mesh the teeth and the “zipped” area would open up. It’s getting returned today.

@jmreekes I had a Eureka/Timberline XL 4 A frame tent. It was pretty spacious inside. I'm leaning towards an REI tent this time

@chet I wish we had an REI close by. The closest to us is about 90 miles away.
