I’ve noticed a big uptick in followers on BlueSky in the days since the USA election. I do wonder if we are thinking this through. Moving from one silo to another might not be the best lesson learnt from X.

@johnjohnston I think social media used to be a place where you could have fun and hang out with like minded folks. Which is technically an echo chamber. But I think social media as a place to debate positions and opinions is the problem, not the fact that it’s an echo chamber. I think Bluesky is a chance to reset that and that’s why a lot of folks are excited. Also less Nazis. 😀
