Two years ago or so I played around with @pixelfed and I could tell it had a long way to go. Revisiting it now I can see it has improved a lot. Anyone else giving it another try?

You can follow me @cdevroe@pixelfed.social

I might post a few things there to see what's happening.

@cdevroe I’ve tried to leave IG, am a huge fan of Glass but just don’t find myself posting to it - love the idea of Pixelfed so perhaps I’ll find the right crowd to motivate me there! App has hugely improved…

@gb what are you looking for in a photo app or community would you say?

@cdevroe I admire the way Glass has made the focus on the photography with the ‘appreciation’ metric, but I don’t find there to be so much discussion - plus the Glass user community is separate from my fediverse/Mastodon/other communities. No neat solution at the moment - doesn’t help that none of my irl community use either! :D

@cdevroe I’ve tried to use it, twice now. But never manage to generate any interest or feel a sense of community while there. I might give it another go.

@cdevroe I have a personal page (which I haven’t posted to in over a year), as well as a page for my digital art. I don’t use either one very often, but I may nuke my personal page, start over, and try to import my IG posts. I don’t see myself ever fully getting rid of IG, but perhaps I’ll use Pixelfed more.
