Does Safari on the Mac still steal the feed:// protocol for Apple News?

I’ve tried using it on iPad and nothing happens. Meanwhile, URLs for feeds (.xml, etc) fail to load the file as a page and throw up this message: “Safari cannot open the page because the address is invalid.”

@simonwoods On Mac it will open your default feed reader - which is NetNewsWire for me.

@cdevroe That’s good to know. And yet another reason why even the cheapest Mac would be an infinitely better computer for me than this iPad.

@simonwoods A Mac is the highest form of computing expression known to man.
