@ablerism <3 It’s a stretch, and it’s city-like in all the ways San Miguel is not, but this immediately brought to mind the chapel attached to the Bowery mission in NYC. (Replace the reredos with the 1870 Hall and Labagh organ)

@tinyroofnail Oh wow, just looked at images! I will put it on my list for next NYC visit. I’ve been doing a little bingo game of Manhattan masses every time I’m there.

@ablerism the staircase is a real interesting hagiography. Some days I quite miss living in New Mexico.

@jonah @ablerism I only lived in Albuquerque for a few months when I was in high school, but I really want to go back for a visit. This photo makes my desire to do so even stronger.

@jonah I think that’s the Loretto Chapel — we walked by it but not in; time was short. But might head back there tomorrow and see it.

@canneddragons @jonah Incredibly beautiful sunsets, adobe architecture, open sky. Saw a roadrunner today too, and enormous gray herons. Glorious. And eating my weight in Tex Mex.

@ablerism I forget the name, sounds right. I didn’t live in Santa Fe, but was close enough to get there to visit and see the sites.

@ablerism sopapillas!
If you go to Albuquerque, try the frontier restaurant on route 66/ Cental Avenue . They used to be 24 hour but probably not anymore.
