If you use non-Apple branded monitors with your Mac, I highly suggest the free utility MonitorControl. It simply allows you to use the native keyboard buttons to control sound and brightness for external displays (even if you have more than 2).

@matt I paid for BetterDisplay a while ago. I wish I would’ve known about this then. 😂
I like BetterDisplay though so it’s worth it I suppose.
@Ronnie I did the same. And another one, DisplayBuddy, perhaps? In any case, I prefer MonitorControl for its simplicity.
