I have purged my iPad and am setting it up as new.

@canion Was there a iOS 15 mishap that made you do it, or layers of past iOSes?

@odd I'm avoiding iOS 15 until it's properly released. My new iPad hasn't been getting great battery life, so I'm seeing if this improves it. There were certainly layers of cruft from iOS versions past.

@odd It's also going to give me a chance to be more intentional about what I actually need to have installed. Rather than having a million apps "just in case”.

@canion I remember having enough problems with the last iOS betas that I'm not highly motivated to try it out this summer — at least not on my one-and-only iPhone, and not on my primary iPad either. Let somebody else have the adventures this year.

@canion @odd. This is what I’ll be doing when I get my new one, for the exact same reasons. I have apps on this one I’ve opened less than fingers on one hand.

@pimoore @canion I’m alternating between getting and purging apps. Now I was bold enough to install iOS 15 on my iPad and Dev phone both.

@canion It’s good to start from a clean slate from time to time. I find that it can help you approach your work and your hobbies in a new, refreshing way.
