My Apple Podcasts experiment lasted about a day. The device sync is good. Nothing else is. Seems like Overcast is the only show in town for multi-device sync and a sane interface.

blog.andrewcanion.com@canion I can’t seem to stop myself from doing the same experiment every 7 months or so. Each time, I go back to Overcast. You’d think I’d learn
@canion I keep wishing for Castro multi-device, but it seems like this is not a feature that is on the horizon for them unfortunately.
@Burk I emailed Castro about multi-device and they gave some kind of hand-wavey answer about future and roadmaps. I think the lack of sync is going to cost them my annual subscription.
@canion I also love Overcast's Apple Watch app. It actually shows and tells me how much time is left in an episode. Apple Podcasts does not do that.
@canion PocketCasts doesn’t get near enough mention around here. Great multi-device sync as well.
@mcg It’s gone in-app purchase since last I checked. That’s good, because now I’m happy to be able to trial it first.
@canion Add me to the list of PocketCasts devotees. The best podcast player there is on Android (although I haven’t recently looked at any newer ones).
@mariovillalobos Pocket Casts does the same, plus it’ll stream over cellular. There’s no contest for me if you ever like, say, running without your phone.
