Org-mode and the surrounding eco-system is the gift that keeps on giving. I just found org-noter and pdf-tools.

@jack I am really enjoying it. Having my synchronized with the PDF they refer to is a godsend I also really like the midnight mode of PDF Tools, to me it makes reading easier on the eyes. So many new discoveries these last weeks: org-roam (and server mode) and org-notes are the hghlights

@helgeg @jack It’s great isn’t it? I read about it a while ago, but didn’t use it because I thought (wrongly) that it would only do multiple notes in one file. I use it a lot now and love it. I’ve got it integrated with org-roam-bibtex for taking notes on papers. Works really smoothly now I have got all the parts configured correctly.

@bsag You were't kidding about org-roam-bibtex. I have just set up everything with Bookends creating a BibTeX bibliography, and a KM macro that creates an org-roam reference from the Bookends info with the BibTeX key as the ROAM_KEY. It is now super easy to navigate between references and notes, and with org-noter to synchronize my reading notes to the PDF file, I'm in note taker heaven.

@helgeg It has really revolutionised the way I take notes on my reading. I’m finding it so much easier to make connections between different topics and see the bigger picture. And I can easily go back to the source to check it. Love it!
