New post: Learning stenography with Plover.
In which I justify, I mean explain, why I’m spending a lot of my free time learning a whole new way of typing words on a computer.

@bsag I found your post about Plover to be fascinating. I didn’t know that steno worked phonetically (or kind of phonetically). Very interesting. Good luck with it. Wouldn’t it be cool to type so fast when you need to transcribe something or take notes during a meeting?
@mjdescy Thanks! It’s a really interesting system. I think that typing as fast as I think would make all kinds of writing faster, not just meeting notes, but I’ve got a way to go before I’m that fast!
@bsag You must think faster than I do, because I already can type as fast as I think with QWERTY. 😀 I can't keep up with other people when they are talking and I have to write what they say.
@mjdescy Well, sometimes I trip over my fingers when I am trying to write down my thoughts. At others, I could chip them out of stone with a chisel and still keep up 🤣
@bsag I just had a vivid flashback to that poor bird hammering away in The Flintstones.
@jeremycherfas Hehe, I’d forgotten about that!
