I love the big overlap in the user communities at omg.lol and Micro.blog. There’s something about both platforms that draws a certain kind of geek and I think it’s great.
@joeross I haven’t explored omg.lol but I’ve seen a few m.b accounts on here with those accounts too. I’ve been wondering what the deal is. $20/year for a profile page, is that what you’re getting? Or am I missing something?
@inthedeltawaves You’re missing a lot! One way I think of it is a modular web presence. The screenshot I attached here lists all the services. I think if any one or two of the services is useful for you, $20/year is a great price. The thoughtfully moderated Mastodon server alone is worth that price.
