My chemex broke. I don’t think I will be replacing it anytime soon.

@mandaris A coffee catastrophe! What will you be replacing the Chemex with?

@mandaris Ouch. If you are ever in need of something similar: the Ratio Eight carafe is costly but beautiful and guaranteed not to break (well, the carafe — the dripper is ceramic). Uses chemex filters, too.

@chrisfoley I’ve got an aeropress as well. That’ll probably outlast me.

@miljko I like the fact that it shows the price as four payments of $30. It takes the sting away a little.

@mandaris oh no! Did it fall (or get fallen on)? Or was this from temperature or something?

@mandaris My first Aeropress lasted 12 years! The rubber started to disintegrate so I decided it was time to buy another a few weeks ago.

@brett it feel out of the drying rack. Apparently, stacking things up like jenga isn’t a good idea.

@mandaris I hate when that happens. I think I’m on my third in 15 years.
