Sure, it looks like a piece of junk — but on this Apple Extended Keyboard II I’ve written NetNewsWires 1, 2, 3, and 5. And MarsEdit 1, TapLynx, Glassboard, Vesper, and some smaller apps.
Still going strong after almost 25 years!

@brentsimmons That’s awesome! Does yours have a bit of a thumb groove in the space bar like one of Gruber’s keyboards did?
@brentsimmons I use a Macally keyboard designed for the bondi blue iMac. It looks silly in front of my computer now, but I still find typing on it comfortable.
@brentsimmons That’s impressive! You must have a softer typing style or just less abrasive thumbs. Ha
@brentsimmons I loved that keyboard! Are you using an ADB to USB adapter that’s still available?
@the I’m using a Griffin iMate. I have no idea if it’s still available or not.
@brentsimmons My keyboard is 22 years old and still has a “Novell Netware Tested and Approved” sticker on the bottom. I’m afraid it will break but it never has. I may be buried with it. 😏
@brentsimmons Sadly, I broke the spring (or rather one set of the plastic lugs that it clips into) under my spacebar when I was cleaning it. Griffin iMate FTW!
@the A while back @ChrisHannah ordered an adpater that’s currently in production. I haven’t heard otherwise, so I assume it’s worked well for him; Chris?
(The eBay link is expired, but I remember looking it up at the time and I think it was for this outfit / current eBay listings. Or, if you’re the electronics-assembly type, there’s apparently instructions on the Internet to build your own ;-) I don’t hate the keyboard I have quite enough to spring for an adapter yet, but I’ve got 2 AEK IIs around here, so at some point I’m sure I will if drakware is still around.)

@brentsimmons They didn’t call them battleships for nothing! Classic. Legendary. And, this one, I think, with all those apps, Historic. 👍
@brentsimmons This one should be in a museum considering what programs it has been an important part of.
