@bradenslen We much prefer shopping at our Ace Hardware over the big box stores in the mall a few miles further north. They mail us $5 discount cards, which we like to use, even though it probably doesn't really make up for the higher prices over the big box stores. We don't mind paying a little more to Ace. Money isn't everything.

@bradenslen Excellent point. Our Ace also has people walking around, ready to help you find the thing you're looking for. Ours also still has those rows of drawers; sorting screws, bolts and such by size, allowing you to buy one of a given size and three of another! Back in CA those drawers had long ago been replaced by plastic packages of five to ten of a given size. When I saw those drawers, I was once again soooo glad that we had returned home from CA a few years ago.
