@bradenslen wow! that is sad for the author! I have two books on the Kindle store (although not on the COVID-19 topic), but still makes me feel like I need a backup. I think another Kindle thing that people are not generally aware of is that "buying" a Kindle book is not like "owning" a book (https://goodereader.com/blog/e-book-news/this-is-the-big-reason-why-we-dont-own-ebooks)

@AndySylvester This is something that has always disturbed me about the digital age: hosts, publishing platforms, other silos can just cut you off and you get stonewalled when you ask why. That is, IF, you can actually get to talk with a human.

Ebooks: One of the reasons I bought a Kobo reader in addition to my Kindle was that I was worried about putting all my eggs in one basket relying on Amazon.

It's a shame for the author that got banned. Frankly, the public could use the information in her book now and not 2 months from now.
