(And that’s why I’m worried about Automattic—and the web, though there are lots of other reasons I’m also worried about the web….)
@smokey @simonwoods I worry about Automattic too. I can't help but think we are bumbling into another monoculture with our reliance on WP. I say this and yet I kinda like WP. Still I think we need to diversify our CMS's and add things like B2eveolution more into the mix.

@bradenslen @smokey This is the kind of thing that has made me reconsider the web and the part it plays in my life. Even away from the silos it's difficult to ignore the general junkiness that seems to reflect our so-called developed societies. It all feels tragically tribalistic and wasteful.
