Electric cars only solve one problem: tail pipe emissions. We will still have problems of over crowded highways and too much space needed for parking. The real key is to reduce our dependence on highways.

@bradenslen also, brake pad and tire pollution. Not to mention the way driving makes people aggressive, just when they need to be cautious.

@gerwitz Good points. I'm not against electric cars, but we have to rethink how we live: stop expanding the suburbs, quit building new highways and maintain what is already built, build transit and build communities where one is not forced to drive everywhere.
