Oh great, another invasive insect from China that is eating our trees and grapes. Thank you New World Order. Just what we needed.

@bradenslen although made worse by global trade, monoculture, and loss of diversity, invasive species have been recorded since the 14th century, all around the world. It's a natural phenomenon, sped up by humans travelling, happening everywhere.
@dreadnaut You're right, but we're getting too many too fast. A couple of years ago, I had to replace half the ash street trees in my neighborhood due to the Emerald Ash Borer. The other half are being treated, but at a continuing cost. We're now bracing for the Asian Longhorn beetle which seems to be moving our way. That could doom the maple trees and some others. I just don't need a third invasive critter eating native trees.
