@bradenslen I used to make cards like that (we had some pretty heavy paper running around for some reason) to be able to easily give friends I ran into my college (and later grad school) address and other contact details.

The flaw in the plan was that I didn’t yet know my address/etc when I was still running into my friends, or we had already somehow exchanged info in order to meet up (i.e., we finally had email), so I didn’t ever give away very many… :-P

@smokey I doubt I will hand out to many, but it's handy to have something to write on when you are telling somebody about the name of a product or something. Sometimes I tell people about Micro.blog, which they will never remember, so now it's easy to just hand them a card. That's why I was so keen to get these.

I'm also a member of a local government commission. When I meet business people in that capacity it is inappropriate for me to use my business card. This doesn't quite fit the bill, but it's better than me using the business card because I try to keep those two things completely separate.

@bradenslen Yeah, they’re good to have for all those reasons, even if you don’t hand out many (I think I still have a couple of mine in my wallet, just in case, even though they’re wildly out-of-date at this point).
