I wonder if Apple has considered buying DuckDuckGo? They've certainly got the cash, and their values are really well aligned.
@cleverdevil This is a nice move on DDG's part.
Considering all the privacy concerns and revelations, at some point in the future it may become untenable for Apple to continue to have Google as their default search provider no matter how much Google wants to pay. This move to Apple maps makes DDG a more attractive alternative.
Or we may see Apple ask users at the setup of new devices who they want to use as default search.
I'm sure Apple has some contingency plans. Thanks for posting this info.
