We have finally crossed the bridge from fostering our son, to adopting our son. The immense feeling of joy and relief is beyond words 👨👨👦
@decarbonization Congratulations. Foster/Adopting seems to me to be the most selfless act a person can do. And yay for your now formalized family. :)
@Ddanielson indeed. our choice to do foster to adopt to make our family was partially inspired by our friend who aged out of foster care without ever achieving permanency
@bobschulties thank you! it is a great comfort to have our family legally/formally recognized. feels a bit like getting married – we were already a family before, but now it feels more that way
