@mandaris And you needn’t, of course, because you are correct in a deep way. It is such a capricious rearranging for rearranging’s sake and is only defended, only can be defended, as conventionality. Don’t get too caught up in all the considerations of the damage and chaos caused regularly by stupid formats, remediable conversions, lazy decimals, character sets—the list is nigh inexhaustible, and it is tiring.
