@ericmwalk Great thoughts! I like the idea of documenting for my own and my childrens' future selves. It kind of locks in the memories, but also it will be a place to reference in years to come. Oh, and if people ask for tips on traveling to [place], this will be a good reference.

Perhaps something like @jthingelstad 's travel collections (using the Pages feature of micro.blog) would work well? I've started a similar section on my site, and have gotten to writing up a few days of our latest trip so far.

@bjhess I will say @jthingelstad notes on travel got me thinking that might be the best way. Now in looking back I realized that he does have maps and some weather details. I didn’t remember that when I was seeing them real time. I might have to see if he goes back and adds things later. Now that is an interesting thought I had as it is only for myself really so I could just publish days notes (so then it is on the day itself) and if I choose go back and add picture or more details later. Also, I like the idea you have of the travel collections I kind of forgot about that part of it but that would be a good way to quickly look back too.

@ericmwalk Oh, if you’re backfilling posts (changing publish date back in time), you can just do that and make a summary Page that links to all of the posts when you’re done.
