@bjhess I've never been able to find something on the Internet that describes my situation. My only avenue is probably to pay for an alternative solution? If I need to go that route, it needs to integrate with my family's Apple calendars so we can share across our devices.

Does anyone else have an iCal (macOS) that is completely buggy? For years mine has: given me multiple email alerts for a single event, continued to give me a notification even if the event is email-alert-only, and loses my email-alert settings on an event (failing to alert me).
