🥘 Dilly Bean Stew with Cabbage and Frizzled Onions

So much flavor, so few ingredients! Also, homemade bread.

@hollyhoneychurch Thanks! As a non-vegetarian, I love finding a flavor-packed vegetarian entrée to add to the recipe catalog for the day my friends can actually come over for a meal more consistently. 😊

@bjhess ha, I know what you mean. Beans and pulses go a long way in creating rich and tasty meals. I was a vegan for a few years and it felt easy to manage myself, but I know how hard it is to cook for. Since moving to Scotland, I've discovered veggie haggis (don't fancy the meat one, though I've heard it's tasty : ). The veggie one is delicious, full of pulses, grains, seeds and spices. Had it last night with Yorkshire puds and whiskey cream gravy. Yum : )

@bjhess I know right!? But when I read the title out to my partner he wasn't so impressed. I think you've got to really love cabbage in the first place and it's not his fav. Sounds like a dream to me though, especially the chargrilled bit : ) We had a laugh about it.

@bjhess That looks fantastic. I love homemade bread, but I don't make it near enough.

@joelhamill thanks! This is my easiest recipe, but assumes a dutch oven. I would make it more, but then we’d eat it. :) www.pbs.org/food/kitc...
