Only in America. Why don't they have one of those giant coin counting gizmos on top? That way, you could just drop your ashtray or cupholder change in there and grab a few rounds after you pick up the diapers and formula.

@briankrebs can’t wait for the Defcon talk on manipulating them like an ATM or a voting machine. Free Ammo!
@briankrebs I read a story recently about how Bald Eagles are dying of lead poisoning from eating animals killed by hunters. It had me wondering if this uses lead ammo.
@briankrebs I think you just re-wrote the opening scene of "Riaising Arizona" -- and I like it!
@briankrebs Meanwhile, politicians in the USA argues about how to best protect themselves against mass shootings.
The USA of today is doomed.
@briankrebs Does the ATF care about stolen ammo? Because those boxes seem ripe for criminals just to break-in and steal the ammo inside.
@briankrebs What they really need is make it one of those aluminum can-crushing return machines so folks can exchange their Lone Star empties for fresh ammo.
@angiebaby @briankrebs Morbid: Every person you shoot, you get their pocket change and turn it into more bullets. Just like rail shooter videogames.
@briankrebs In the promotional video they install the kiosk in a store right between a cooler full of "bang" energy drink, and a "cans to cents" recycling kiosk.
@briankrebs The ATF had better make sure this is 100% "bulletproof" or shut down these jokers selling deadly items out of a vending machine.
Just needs a coffin machine (or a cremate-o-mat) to go with it.
@briankrebs this feels like some prop in a dystopian shoot'em up.
Stop making the Torment Nexus real America!
@briankrebs One of the many things I don't understand about USA culture: Hunter Biden having a gun was a big deal, but then this ...???🤷♀️
"Our well regulated militia is killing our children, at will."
SearingTruth
@jonhendry For the win.
was wondering where those people with closets full of guns were going to get ammo. Guess I got my answer.
@briankrebs Yeah, but if I enjoyed interacting with people, I wouldn't be buying ammo. <guy-pointing-finger-at-head.gif>
@briankrebs LOL, prior to Ammo Vending Machines, this guy appears to have run a CBD store in Dallas. Wild.
@briankrebs I hate to say this, but part of the “only in America” is that it takes a gun culture with enough lawfulness and physical security that the ammo dispenser won’t get tipped and plundered the moment it lands.
@briankrebs something like this will from now on be in *all* the first person shooter games. It's funny that this wasn't a thing earlier (as far as I know?) not even cultural commentary as dark as "The Boys" could come up with something this f*cked up.
@briankrebs
So now you can use the same technology to get into America and also buy bullets. Why not combine these machines?
"Welcome to the United States. Here are your bullets..."
@briankrebs
Don't you just hate when it's 3am and you run out of ammo? Finally a solution. :(
I'm waiting for the news stories to appear about people starting these things on fire. This is literally a bomb box.
@briankrebs Someone, somewhere is going to pop up a faux one of these that delivers dud rounds.
@briankrebs Promotional video shows machine being installed next to a Coins2Cash machine (0:18 : https://americanrounds.com/#section-qBjO8BGy5B) so they're halfway there. An ethernet/USB cable, some software upgrades, and Bob's your Uncle...
