@becky Intereting piece. I hit the “upgrade wall” a few years ago. I was upgrading every two years, finishing with the iPhone X. And then I stopped. And I’m still on the X and still happy with it.

The camera on the 12 Pro is vaguely tempting, but… ehhh. Maybe next year.

@becky @adders I’ve been on a 3-year cycle from the 4s, so this was my year and I upgraded to the 12 Pro large because my battery was starting to get weak. It is a beautiful device and the photos are better. Overall, though, definitely still just an iPhone. I am very curious what the lidar sensor will be used for once clever programmers have had time to work, especially with the long-term rumor of about Apple AR goggles/glasses.
