@ablerism I could take that at least two ways:

  1. You delayed picking it up (despite, for instance, strong reviews).
  2. It was really slow going as you tried to read it.

I'm going with #2 as a guy who choked, twice, on The Beauty of the Infinite.

@bbowman @readerjohn It's #1! And I think that may have been because I've choked on other texts in the past. This one is incredibly lucid.

@ablerism I, too, struggled with Beauty of the Infinite when I first read it over a decade ago. But I absolutely loved The Experience of God and found it clear (and compelling).
