@baldur Great article. Even if you don’t agree with every point, it is worth reviewing each one and, if you disagree, understanding why.

For example, Rule #7: Choose simple, boring technology: Often as a small business, your value-add is providing access to new technologies before larger companies are willing to invest. This can lead to product sales but also to good consulting opportunities. So, the point is worth considering and making an active decision on.

Exactly! Like he says at the end, he's broken all of these rules himself at one point or another. Sensible defaults which you only change when you have a good reason to :-)
