How are folks who support Web Mentions handling spam mentions? (I’m assuming there’s spam, there’s always spam.) Is everybody using Vouch? Moderating? Akismet?
(No reason for the question, just suddenly became curious as I was reading up on IndieWeb for other reasons.)
@baldur I’ve had webmentions on my WordPress blog for a couple of years and had no mention spam. In fact I’ve a function that pre approves webmentions. Of course I probably will now I’ve said this. Get lots of other spam.
@baldur I anticipated more spam than I’ve ever received. The only thing close to spam I’ve ever gotten is when someone else’s website was misconfigured and sent me the same webmention every 80 seconds for about a week.
