Teri and I are re-watching Better Call Saul Season 1. It is, as we remembered, amazingly good. We’ll go at least through Season 3; a certain event occurs at the end of Season 3 that, I think, takes some of the energy out of the show. But up to that point at least it’s an absolute triumph. 🍿

@ayjay Do I need to have watched Breaking Bad to fully appreciate it?

@ayjay I’ve heard that, but esp glad to hear it from you. I’ve started it a couple of times but gave up. Might be a timing thing.

@bethanyh and I started Better Call Saul twice, and could never make it through season 1. Though neither of us struggled to get into Breaking Bad—it’s likely among the top 3 shows for both of us.

Perhaps there’s some mindset shift needed to appreciate Better Call Saul differently than Breaking Bad?

@ablerism did you give up when they dissolve the body in the bathtub? Because that’s when my wife checked-out. lol. I only made it a couple more episodes. Some day I’ll give it another try.

@joshuapsteele I don’t remember it being a hard out! But maybe, ha. I *adore Bryan Cranston — and I think all the time about that scene when he’s just found out about the dx and says: I am—awake—

@ablerism And sometimes, as Austin K likes to say, “It’s not for me.” Which is fine. You can watch and enjoy Saul without knowing anything about BB, but if you know BB it is deeper.
